As a part of the Kendall SCD™ 700 Compression System SMART COMPRESSION™, the Kendall SCD™ Express Sleeves provide circumferential compression that is clinically proven to move more blood.1-2

SMART features of the Kendall SCD™ Express Sleeves:

    SMART Sleeve Design

    Circumferential Design

    • Bladders extend to the end of each sleeve so that therapy is delivered at all points of contact
    • Compresses a larger surface area 2, clearing blood from behind the valve cusp where most DVTs form3
    • Delivers therapy regardless of sleeve position, which may save nursing time

    Sequential Inflation

    • Three separate chambers inflate to squeeze the leg in a ‘milking’ action

    Gradient Pressure Patterns

    • Each chamber inflates at a different pressure to maximize blood flow
    • Helps move the blood from the legs, back up to the heart, with a clinically proven 45, 40, 30 mmHg pressure pattern.3

As a part of the Kendall SCD™ 700 Compression System SMART COMPRESSION™, the Kendall SCD™ Comfort Sleeves provide circumferential compression that is clinically proven to move more blood.1-2

The Kendall SCD™ Comfort Sleeves have been designed to provide an increased level of comfort, and to increase patient compliance with mechanical prophylaxis.1

How the Kendall SCDTM Comfort Sleeves address patient discomfort:

    • Sweat and heat: Cool, venting inner fabric helps to wick sweat away from the skin, evaporating through the soft edges. Through this process, cool air is also transferred through the vent holes.
    • Pressure: An improved bladder geometry helps distribute pressure evenly.
    • Skin irritation: The sleeve’s pillowcase design may help address skin irritation by allowing the layers to glide freely among each other as patient shifts in bed.
    • Itchiness: The sleeve material fibres have diameters similar to silk and cashmere, helping to deliver softness and smoothness.

The Kendall SCD™ 700 Controller SMART COMPRESSION™ is the next evolution of IPC.

It applies intermittent pneumatic compression to increase venous blood flow1 — helping prevent deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism in at-risk patients. The Kendall SCD™ 700 SMART COMPRESSION™ Controller delivers compression to the leg, foot, or both. Vascular refill detection (VRD) is unique to the Kendall SCD™ 700 Compression System SMART COMPRESSION™.

SMART features of the Kendall SCD™ 700 Controller:

    SMART Compression Cycles

    • Measure venous refill time using Vascular Refill Detection (VRD) technology and customize compression cycles automatically for each patient
    • Move 1.5x more blood per hour
    • Adjust accordingly when a patient’s needs change over time

    SMART Patient Compliance

    • Displays the patient’s true wear time by nursing shift
    • Features Patient Sensing™ technology, which alerts the nurse of removed sleeves
    • Provides a measurement tool to support true compliance to therapy

    More features of the controller:

    • Animated alerts — Icons show the cause of an error and how it can be resolved
    • Visibility — Graphic user interface featuring large icons on a 3.2-inch color LCD screen
    • Durability — Limited liquid ingress (rating of IP23), robust Xylex™ material, and protected battery
    • Low noise — Soft overmolding with vibration dampeners for a quiet controller
    • Ease of cleaning — Smooth, grooveless surfaces and slim profile; compatible with most hospital-grade cleaning agents
    • Tubing assembly is provided for use with the Kendall SCD™ 700 controller.
