    The Kendall SCD™ 700 Controller SMART COMPRESSION™ is the next evolution of IPC.

    It applies intermittent pneumatic compression to increase venous blood flow1 — helping prevent deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism in at-risk patients. The Kendall SCD™ 700 SMART COMPRESSION™ Controller delivers compression to the leg, foot, or both. Vascular refill detection (VRD) is unique to the Kendall SCD™ 700 Compression System SMART COMPRESSION™.

    How the Kendall SCDTM Comfort Sleeves address patient discomfort:

    • Sweat and heat: Cool, venting inner fabric helps to wick sweat away from the skin, evaporating through the soft edges. Through this process, cool air is also transferred through the vent holes.
    • Pressure: An improved bladder geometry helps distribute pressure evenly.
    • Skin irritation: The sleeve’s pillowcase design may help address skin irritation by allowing the layers to glide freely among each other as patient shifts in bed.
    • Itchiness: The sleeve material fibres have diameters similar to silk and cashmere, helping to deliver softness and smoothness.
